Step 1. Nanny Application: You will need to fill out our Nanny Application. It is very important
to be as detailed as possible with your answers. The application covers
topics such as your start date and salary requirements, as well as future
goals and childrearing philosophies. Our placement counselors use this
information to match you with the family that would work best with your
personality and needs. Step 2. Personal Interview: Once we have reviewed your application, we will schedule you to come in for a face-to-face interview with a placement counselor. You have a chance to discuss in more detail your experience as a childcare provider and ask us any questions you have. We will request a copy of your driver’s license or passport and social security card. Step 3. Past employment & reference checks verified: Metropolitan Nannies will verify past employment and check references. It’s important to let your references know to expect our call, as this will allow us to move through the process more quickly. Step 4. Discuss employment opportunities: We will discuss family profiles and employment opportunities that are
a good fit for what you are looking for. This is your time to shine and let the family know why you are the best choice for the position. Expect to have 2 interviews per family, one with parent(s) and one with the parent(s) and child. Please call us after the interview to let us know how it went. Step 6. The family has made an offer! Congratulations! At this point, we do a background check and must have a result from a TB test. Step 7. Sign Nanny/Family Agreement: You and the parent(s) should sign this agreement. The work agreement describes the job requirements, your wages, benefits and other important details. |
